    WHAT: 1st Annual Ride to the Center
    54, 22, 10 mile events....
    Benefit ride for the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation and will kick off Dia de Salud: A Day of Free Healthcare. Following the Ride to the Center, over 5000 attendees will gather at the National Hispanic Cultural Center for a health fair that will provide free resources, health services and information for those who are uninsured and underserved.     The five-day, 234-mile recreational and educational bike ride will travel through four of New Mexico's pueblos and past two national monuments, giving the riders both a visual and physical experience they will long treasure. The average daily ride is 47 miles. [More info...]

    WHAT: Santa Fe BCNM Meeting
    WHERE: Rob and Charlies Bike Shop, 1632 Saint Michael's Drive
    Monthly meetings to talk about local advocacy projects, who is doing what, and what needs to be done next.... Come on by!

  • WHEN: Sunday, September 14
    WHAT: Bike Parade from Old Plaza to New Railyard Plaza
    WHERE: Meet at the Historic Plaza, departing at 9:15 a.m. for adults
    or Alvord Elementary School (551 Alarid and the corner of Hickox St) 9:30 a.m. for adults with children.
    The two groups will meet at Alvord School and proceed to the railyard via the new railyard bike path. The bike parade will be welcomed by a Mariachi band as we ride into railyard plaza area.
    The ride is for adults and children of all skill level. A road safe bicycle or tricycle for children and a helmet is mandatory. Parade decorations for bikes is encouraged. Please come and enjoy the ride, meet new cycling friends, and partake in the festivities. (Free bike helmets for adults and children with a complimentary helmet fitting will be offered at the Pedal Queens table while supplies last.)
    The Pedal Queens will also be hosting a table with commuting information, the new revised city bike map and tube and tubeless tire changing demonstrations.
    If you would like to help set up a gazebo tent, tables, chairs and bike stand please contact Patricia by email at phpeck_at_msn.com . Everything will be provided. The set up needs to occur at 8a.m. on Sept 14 at the Railyard.

  • WHEN: 2nd thursday each month, 5:30pm
    WHAT: Critical Mass Rides
    People interested in Critical Mass group rides meet and ride around downtown to raise awareness of cyclists as vehicles. If you join them, PLEASE obey traffic laws, stop signs, lights, etc. to make a positive impression on motorists and police. Take the lane where advisable, be courteous, and be safe!
    WHERE: Beginning at the Santa Fe Plaza, and riding from there to somewhere
